Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions people ask most. Skim for what you need.

What is MotherFluxer?

MotherFluxer is a creative AI app where you generate and edit work straight from chat. Describe what you want, and MotherFluxer produces a finished result you can keep refining.

What can I make?

You can create a range of artifact types:

  • Images
  • Videos
  • Audio and music
  • Documents
  • 3D models
  • Apps (interactive, runnable projects)

Generate any of them by describing what you want in chat, then edit and iterate until it's right.

Do I need to know which AI to use?

No. MotherFluxer routes your request to the right models automatically, so you never have to pick a provider to get a good result. When a feature does offer a choice, you'll see the model options shown in the UI, each with its cost and speed, so you can choose what fits the job.

How am I billed?

Billing is a monthly plan plus optional overage credits:

  • Your plan covers your regular monthly usage.
  • If you need more, use Add Credits to top up overage credits.
  • Payment runs through standard, secure checkout.

Can I upload my own files?

Yes. Bring in your own files to use as a starting point or reference, then generate and edit from there.

Can I share what I make?

Sharing depends on the artifact type:

  • Apps can be published to a live URL. Use Publish to make an App available at its own link that you can share with anyone.
  • Other artifact types aren't shared directly from MotherFluxer. You keep working with them inside the app and export or download as needed.

Is my work saved?

Yes. Everything you generate is saved automatically as artifacts, organized in Artifacts and grouped under your Projects. The one exception is ghost chats, which are intentionally not saved.

What's the difference between Smart Edit and Direct Edit?

Both let you change an artifact you've already made. The difference is who does the work:

  • Smart Edit uses AI. Describe the change you want in plain language, and MotherFluxer applies it for you.
  • Direct Edit is hands-on. You make precise changes yourself using the editor's controls.

Use Smart Edit when you'd rather describe the outcome, and Direct Edit when you want exact, manual control.
